In order to have any real impact, the strike will have to be at least as long as the '88 strike, which lasted six months.

You can produce what's written, and make minor changes for purposes of production (usually called A through H changes) meaning changing a bedroom set to a living room set, that sort of thing, but no story changes or dialogue changes unrelated to production.
